Welcome to All the Buddies

Merry Christmas!!! Gem I think you might be our first official visitor so come on in, to the rest of the buddies hurry up we cant start without you!

So whats this all about? I suppose it all started when I realised that the best way you can find out about who you are and where you come from is from family but its up to someone to record or write their memories down. As you know I'm obsessed with family history and really want Ciara to know more about where she came from and thought if I'm gonna record it for her I might as well do it for All th Buddies.

Over the coming years I hope we can furnish this blog with stories about our history, explore the family tree, discover traditions, share memories, photos and much more. I clearly dont have all the info so I hope it can be a collaborative project where peeps can contribute as we go along - use the comments section for discussion and craic.

There are probably better ways to do this but as a speedy first attempt this I'm sure will suffice - the main thing was getting it started and now I have I think I'll never get anything else done ever again because as I said I'm a bit obsessed and theres so much to talk about. I'll build in categories and hopefully a search so we can easier group together topics and find stuff as the blog gets busier.

Anyhoos, let me know if you have suggestions of anything you think we should cover or even tales that could start a conversation. I'm hoping this will live on long after all of us so that all the new wee buddies in generations to come can understand more about who we are and where we came from.
